About Dr. Travis Baker
Dr. Travis Baker has a mission to empower individuals with their overall health and well-being. His passion is to make people aware of how amazing their bodies are and that true healing begins from within.
Dr. Baker was appointed to serve on the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for Nebraska School Activities Association which oversees all high school sports in the state of Nebraska (NSAA bio HERE). He also serves on the Board of Directors for Nebraska Chiropractic Physician Association (NCPA bio HERE).
In addition to Dr. Baker’s professional contributions, he is an avid learner and researcher. You, his patient, is his #1 priority. Therefore, Balanced Body is open 42 hours per week to be available for patient scheduling.
Dr. Travis Baker is always looking for ways to further assist in a patient’s recovery. He began his clinical career in 2011 where he graduated with Cum Laude honors at Cleveland Chiropractic College with his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. After his apprenticeship position was completed, the doors to Balanced Body Acupuncture & Chiropractic opened in 2012. His continued training in chiropractic include Flexion Distraction, Active Release Technique (Full Body Certified in ART), Soft Tissue, and Graston Technique. Your health should not be the obstacle that prevents you from enjoying life. Decreasing your pain is the first step to increasing life and that is my ultimate goal for you.
In addition to his Meridian Therapy Acupuncture certification through his Doctorate, Dr. Baker completed an apprenticeship with a Diplomat Traditional Chinese Medicine Professor in 2012. In 2016, he completed his Fellowship (FIAMA) through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (IAMA). Furthermore, he is trained and certified in Facial Enhancement Acupuncture & Cosmetic Acupuncture, also known as the Acu-Lift. His current endeavor is completing the 425 hr Diplomat status in Medical Acupuncture through IAMA.
He recently traveled to Chicago to complete a Master of Dry Needling Acupuncture program through Total Motion Release Physical Therapy. In summary, when an injury occurs from repetitive use or acute trauma, inflammation will be produced from the damaged tissues. Dry needling results in the deepest tissue release allowing for improvements in movement and pain. Your life does not have to be lived in pain, alternative therapies are achieving great strides in research and development. Dry needling is recommended by many physical therapist and medical doctors now.
Dr. Baker’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He graduated with a degree in Community Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education & Human Science. Chiropractic and alternative healthcare was always used to keep his body functioning at the peak level. Having his share of injuries, he understands the importance of maintaining balance within one’s own body to help prevent injury and aid in recovery.
In addition to his education in acupuncture and chiropractic, Dr. Baker also holds Post-Graduate Certifications in:
Master of Dry Needling Level 1 & 2 certification
